I don't have many pictures from my time in the field with the Third Platoon of Charlie Company, roughly from our arrival until early December of 1967. For the most part, it would not have been easy to tote my camera in those days...about half of which we spent "legging" the boonies...or on foot. This shot is from a time when we were in our APCs. Here we are on the way out to the coast...and avoiding the main road by riding along the edge of the Lake Dam Trao... unfortunately for these farmers, right throught their flooded rice paddies.
