Colonel Robert H. Luck was born on June 29, 1927 in Thunder Bay, Ontario, Canada.

He entered the U.S. Army in January 1945 and was discharged in 1948. He returned to the Army in 1950 and attended OCS at Fort Riley, Kansas, in 1951.

He served one tour in Korea, two tours in Germany, and one in Vietnam. He retired from Active Duty in October 1980.

Colonel Luck is a graduate of the Armor Advanced Course at Fort Knox, Kentucky, the U.S. Army Command and General Staff College at Fort Leavenworth, Kansas, the Armed Forces Staff College at Norfolk, Virginia, and the Army War College in Carlisle, Pennyslvania.

Colonel Luck died on 23 February 2002 and is buried in the Dallas-Fort Worth National Memorial Cemetery.
