Prayers for Toby Jordan

Postby Jim Sheppard » Wed Nov 11, 2020 5:53 pm

I just heard the news that our Association Chaplain, Toby Jordan, has been admitted to the hospital and diagnosed with Covid 19. Although not in ICU, he is in "Isolation" at this time. Prayers would seem to be in order.

Good news for Toby. Here is his a copy and pasted FB reply to me.

"Yes sir hope to go home today, COVID-19 and pneumonia."

Was very happy to get this reply. God answers prayer many times and this surely has to be one.

From Gary Quint: "Toby is back in St.Frances Hospital in Cape Girardeau, MO. He got dehydrated, fell, bonked his head and ended up with a concussion. He's in the covid ward now but is expected to move to a regular room shortly."

Godspeed an best wishes for Toby's recovery. Seems he can't catch a break! :(

My wife, Kelly, also had a positive covid test this past Saturday after not feeling well on Thursday. She's doing ok, just resting up with some fatigue and body aches. I presume I'm exposed and maybe feeling some fatigue. This is likely Round 2 for us - Kelly had more severe covid symptoms for 2 weeks in late March / early April this year. No test to confirm back then, though, but the Dr. thought it was covid. Overall much milder this go-around, if it is indeed Round 2.

Sorry to hear that RJ. That sure sucks to have it once but again is not good at all. Wishing you guys all the best. I did chat with Toby on FB messenger and he is going to rehab now but unfortunately does not sound like he will be home for Thanksgiving. Thankful that I will be since I had a 4 day stay at the VA this week again.

Thanks, Russ. We'll be by ourselves for Thanksgiving this year unfortunately, but still calling and keeping in touch with friends and family :). I'm glad you'll be home, and am sure those VA visits must be getting old. Take care and have a wonderful holiday.
