Gift Card Scam

Postby Jim Sheppard » Tue Jan 07, 2020 11:57 am

Be advised, someone is contacting people posing as an officer of the Association and asking that Gift Cards be purchased...etc, etc. It seems they have simply copied information from our "Contact Officers" page and circulated the scam to as many email addresses they can find on the website. Common sense should tell you that none of our officers would make such a request...so simply ignore/delete the message. Below is a copy of the message I received...supposedly from Jimmy Segars. The same message has also been sent (Supposedly) from other Association Officers.

Wow... customized, targeted phishing with a bit of social engineering... I'm flattered
