ANOTHER GOOD MAN GONE

Postby terry gauthier » Tue Jun 02, 2009 12:53 am

WE ALSO LOST ANOTHER GOOD MAN ON THAT TERRIBLE DAY. ON MAY 30th 1969 WE LOST JEROME COLLINS. THIS WAS TRUELY A SAD DAY FOR THE SCOUTS. TWO FINE SOLDIERS LOST BUT CERTAINLY NOT FORGOTTEN. AS THESE MEN GAVE US ANOTHER DAY TO FIGHT. THEY WILL FOREVER BE IN OUR HEARTS AND MINDS AND ALWAYS BE IN OUR PRAYERS. GOD BLESS ALL WHO HAVE ENDURED THE WORST OF TIMES, BUT THIS HAS MADE US BETTER MEN AND WOMEN. GOAT

The Life Magazine Issue of June 27th, 1969 featured an article entitled: "One Week's Dead - May 28th to June 3rd". 6 men from our unit were included. Pictures of 4 were shown...Hamilton, Janke, Owen and Taylor, 2 had no photos...Collins and Steve Grubb.

I have two original copies of this magazine in our Archives.
