Dean Spooner

Just received a phone call from Janis Spooner. Dean passed away this morning at 1:00 in his sleep. Dean and I trained together at Ft. Polk on the 106 and deployed to Nam in Feb, 1968 with a MOS of 11H. We served together on the Minehune, 106 Recoilless Rifle on top of our APC. Dean was a good friend in Nam, and we stayed in touch over the years. Dean called me last week, and we talked for 45 minutes, reliving old war stories, etc. I found four VSOs in San Diego County, CA and passed along to Janis, so she can ask about benefits, etc.
