Hi all, just wanted to share the article that Ron Fischer wrote about my Dad, Randy, who passed away last August.

The article makes me feel so proud of Dad and the town of Seymour.

Wonderful article. Proud and honored to have served right beside Randy (literally), slept in the same poncho hooch, drank from the same canteen, shared the same food and scared beyond belief together. No matter what the situation, Randy's concern was always his men first. RIP brother.

Pete

Randy was a friend indeed. He was a very good Medic when working without our APCs and going into a rural villages seen him many time treat villagers for one thing or another .

I just posted a copy of the article to the website. This way when the link Mick posted to the article expires....we will still have the story. I converted the article to a downloadable .pdf format.

The person bending over behind Randy's rifle is Stan Waluek and the person with hand on hip watching Stan ( no shirt ) is Harley Mick Hawkins the two in front of the jeep the first one I'm not sure about the other is Lt. Blockburger
