Historian travels

Postby Jim Sheppard » Mon Jul 16, 2018 10:49 am

Just a note to let you know I am on the road....and in California to retrieve more of my belongings. Yesterday, I loaded up our beloved mannequin "Charlie"...as well as his new adversary mannequin dressed in US Army Grunt garb....who has on a set of my jungle fatigues....and does not yet have a name. So, our archives will finally be complete again and mostly in my storage room in New Jersey...waiting to be reassembled at our 2019 reunion!

No Historian Report in the upcoming Newsletter...but there will be plenty from me in the next issue in December. A trip to the archives for copies of more records is tentatively planned for late summer or the fall. I do want to take advantage of being close to College Park MD (Home of the National Archives Military Text Records) for possibly another year before I head south to Florida.

Hello,

Is there any historical place to visit in California???
Please tell because I'm a history researcher.
Thanks...
